
Port Blair, Feb 28: Frequent disruptions in Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) services during the last few years have irked the subscribers in Diglipur.
For the last three days, the Broadband service was extremely poor that caused mental agony to its subscribers. Assistant Commissioner, Diglipur admitted that local administration has also faced difficulties in the daily routine function of the offices. He assured that he will take up the matter with the top brass of the BSNL.
Banking services, shops dealing in online business, and other commercial activities were also severely affected as the data speed was extremely slow.
The Academic activities of school students are greatly dependent on BSNL’s broadband service, but the students and residents of Diglipur are far from the desired service with good quality internet. “Call drops are another frequent problem related to BSNL service”, said several subscribers.
“The CBSE board and other exams are approaching and BSNL’s broadband service ought to be uninterrupted with desired data speed so that students’ online study and exams aren’t affected”, opined a large section of wards’ parents.
