Port Blair, Feb 02: On last Monday morning, a dead body was recovered from the Creek area of Joda Kilan, Sippighat.
As per reports the deceased has been identified as Mr. Anil, 35 years, a resident of Garacharma, Port Blair, who went for fishing on (30 January 2022) Sunday late afternoon. It is believed that he accidentally fell into the creek water and drowned.
Although initial reports suggested that the body was found floating on the next day but later Andaman Sheekha team after further inquiry has learnt that some people had seen the person drowning on Sunday late afternoon and the information was given to PS Pahargaon.
Soon PS Pahargaon team reached the spot along with divers of PMF. The search for the person began at around 4 PM on Sunday evening but till sunset the body could not be found. Next day the search began at the early morning and by 2.00 PM, PMF divers traced out the body of the deceased.
General public of the area lauded the efforts of PMF divers and the team of PS Pahargaon.
