On the occasion of the 46th Raising Day of the Indian Coast Guard, it gives me immense pleasure to extend greetings and felicitations to all personnel and families of the Coast Guard fraternity.
Over the years, the Indian Coast Guard has evolved into a strong maritime force and emerged as an all-weather friend for the local populace of these pristine Islands. Total 109 lives saved by the Indian Coast Guard along with the rapid response to various distress alerts at sea has made the isles more safe and secure for various economic activities thereby establishing a unique bond with the citizens of A&N Islands.
The Indian Coast Guard is a true force multiplier for the safety & security of A&N Islands furthering our anti-poaching and remote island surveillance efforts in coordination with all Stake Holders thereby creating a rigid security net around the Islands.
The noble gesture of community interaction programme by the Indian Coast Guard has made qualitative changes in the perception of fishermen towards the safety of life at sea.
I once again extend my greetings and felicitations to all Officers and personnel of the Indian Coast Guard and wish them success in all future endeavours.
