Port Blair, Jan 09: A virtual meeting of the Empowered Group (EG) 7 on COVID management under the chairmanship of Mr Amitabh Kant, CEO, NITI Aayog with Civil Society Organisations and other development partners was held on Jan 7. The meeting discussed partnerships and strategies required to combat surge of Omicron and Covid cases across the country, vaccination and other related issues. Dr. Vinod K Paul, Member, NITI Aayog, who is chairing Empowered Groups, attended the meeting. Mr Selvam, General Secretary, SAHYOG attended the meeting and placed his suggestions during the session.
