Port Blair, Nov 26: A fully funded one-year, non-degree academic program at a U.S. community college that builds participants’ technical skills in applied fields, enhances their leadership capabilities, and strengthens their English language proficiency.
The eligible fields of study for the 2022-2023 CCI programs include
1. Agriculture 2. Applied Engineering
3. Business Management/Administration 4. Early Childhood Education
5. Information Technology 6. Media
7. Social Services, Health, & Public Safety 8. Tourism & Hospitality Management
Who is eligible? An Indian citizen living in the Andaman & Nicobar Islands; 18 years or older by the beginning of the program – July 1, 2022 who has:
• Successfully earned a secondary school diploma/have class 12 board exam pass certificate
• Not yet earned a bachelor’s degree or higher.
• Good working knowledge of English language
• Demonstrated academic or professional interest or experience in the chosen field of study.

• Last date to receive nominations – December 3, 2021
This is a competed program that includes an English Language Test for short-listed candidates, and the final selection of candidates will be made by the U.S. Embassy in New Delhi and the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs at the State Department in Washington, D.C.
