The prominent BJP leaders of Diglipur raised a plethora of issues/demands which chiefly centered issues of basic nature. The rundown condition of rural road, irregular supply of LPG cylinders, no regular boat service, BSNL’s erratic network service, pathetic condition of the NH etc were the prime issues. Ajay Bairagi, BJP, State President, A & N Islands later joined the dharna to boost the morale of the BJP leaders and supporters. He also requested the Assistant Commissioner, Diglipur to form a survey team/committee on priority to assess the damage/loss incurred by the farmer community owing to this incessant and untimely rain.
