Diglipur, Nov. 10: Taking strict enforcement action against encroachers as directed by Ms. Anjali Sehrawat, IAS, Deputy Commissioner (N&MA), a team of Revenue dept. officials attached to Diglipur Tehsil carried out an encroachment eviction drive at D.B. Gram on 10/11/2021 under the supervision of Mr. Ankit Yadav, IAS, Assistant Commissioner, Diglipur.
As per revenue records, the land bearing survey no: 1/1 measuring area 44.82 ha is recorded in favour of Govt. Revenue Dept. in form ‘AM’ of DB Gram as Grazing land. Out of which 0.30ha land was encroached and used for banana, areca nut, coconut plantation. During eviction drive, all plantation and temporary thatched bamboo hut were removed and 3000 sq. mtr land was restored into govt. account. Similar encroachment eviction drive will be carried out in other villages under North and Middle Andaman as well, a source said.
