Port Blair, Nov 09: A private passenger bus, operated in Andaman Trunk Road, between Diglipur and Port Blair suffered breakdown yesterday afternoon near Middle Strait. As per details there were around 36 passengers inside the bus when the technical snag was reported.
Because of this, all passengers remain stranded near Middle Strait and according to the report, the bus started from Diglipur at around 6.00 AM early in the morning and when it reached near Middle Strait at around 2.30 PM it developed technical snags. Later all efforts to repair the bus turned futile.
As per reports after requests North & Middle District Administration arranged a bus to bring the stranded passengers from the Middle Strait to Port Blair and finally after the intervention of the North and Middle District Administration all passengers of the private ATR bus were shifted to STS bus at around 7:30 PM and brought to Port Blair.
Talking to Andaman Sheekha Daily some passengers said that pathetic road conditions of Andaman Trunk Road should be blamed for this kind of incidents, which are happening on daily basis.
