Port Blair, Nov 02: Merchant Navy officers in various ranks working with foreshore passenger vessels owned by Directorate of Shipping Services, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, who had staged protest yesterday inside SCI office, Port Blair, have now officially withdrawn their protest after getting an assurance mail from SCI.
According to Merchant Navy officers they have received a mail from Mr. Prasant Kumar Sahoo, Posting Officer, SCI Head Office Mumbai, in which Mr. Sahoo reportedly assured to pay the pending wages to the Merchant Navy officers.
