Port Blair, Sep 19: Mr. Paritosh Kumar Haldar, Ex-Member, A & N Pradesh Council has written a letter to the Lt. Governor regarding regularization of tally Clerks at Directorate of Shipping Services.
In his letter to Lt. Governor, the Ex-member said that around 139 Tally clerks have been working since long on contract basis in the Directorate of Shipping services, A & N Islands. Many of them have already crossed 14/15 years of service in the said department.
“They have not been given any service benefits like CL, EL or any other benefits like that of the regular Government Servants have been enjoying in the A & N Administration,” he pointed out.
The ex-member ANPC further mentioned that their services are in need of regularization. Almost all of them have already crossed their age bar, and hence, they are not in a position to face any more interviews for jobs in any other Government Department.
