Port Blair, Sept 09: A beach cleaning drive was organized by the Member of Parliament of Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Mr. Kuldeep Rai Sharma this morning. The beach cleaning drive began at 6.00 AM, in which a large number of youths of the area and the Youth Congress workers participated.
Youths of Amar Rajiv Youth Club (ARYC), Haddo, took part in this drive with great enthusiasm.
The drive was organized with an aim to clean the beaches and maintain the beauty of Port Blair city and thus the drive got a huge response from people.
Later Garbage collected during the beach cleaning drive was handed over to PBMC for further processing.
During the drive Mr. Kuldeep Rai Sharma urged the participants to take out some time every week to clean beaches of these Islands, which will keep our Islands garbage free and attract more tourists.
