Port Blair, Aug 23: On Sunday night a murder case was reported at Chatham Police Station, in which a youth of Buniyadabad was killed by his own friends.
As per reports, yesterday night local people of Dilanipur area saw a young lying unconscious with bleeding wounds all over his body at Dilanipur Community Hall. Immediately the matter was intimated to Police.
Soon a police team of PS Chatham reached the spot and recovered the body. The body was soon later shifted to GB Pant Hospital for Postmortem.
On investigation the deceased was identified as Mr. Bala Subramani, aged 21 years, a resident of Buniyadabad. Later the matter was intimated to the family members of deceased youth.
According to sources on information provided by the family members of the victim, two youths were picked by police for interrogation and during interrogation both the youths Dinesh, a resident of Prem Nagar and Rajendran, a resident of Buniyadabad, accepted of killing Mr. Bala Subramani.
Sources said that yesterday all three consumed alcohol near the Community Hall and after which following scuffle on some old family issues Dinesh and Rajendran allegedly attacked Mr. Bala Subramani with sharp weapons. After the attack both the accused fled from the scene and left Mr. Bala Subramani bleeding, which caused his death. Both the accused have been arrested and cases under relevant section have been registered against them. Further details are awaited.
