Port Blair, Aug 17: Mrs. Sampa Banerjee, State President BJP Mahila Morcha, Andaman Nicobar Islands today called on the Chief Secretary of Andaman and Nicobar Administration and demanded a lady doctor for PHC Kadamtala.
During the meeting, Mrs. Sampa Banerjee pointed out that since last September no female doctor was sent to the PHC Kadamtala for which ladies of rural area are suffering a lot.
She also pointed out that a contract lady Doctor was posted to PHC Kadamtala in month of December 2020 but due to some reasons, she didn’t join the duty.
The Chief Secretary reportedly assured her to do the needful and directed the concerned department to send a female doctor to PHC Kadamtala,as per a communication received here .
