Port Blair, Aug 16: The team of District Child Protection Unit under the District Administration in collaboration with the Medical team conducted a vaccination drive in all the Child Care Institutions of South Andaman to administer second dose of the COVID Vaccine for the children (above 18 yrs) and staff in these Institutions.
Mr. Suneel Anchipaka, Deputy Commissioner (SA) and Mr. Hari Kallikkat, SDM (SA) visited the vaccination drive conducted at Seva Niketan, Dairy Farm, and ensured vaccination is conducted as per guidelines and also interacted with the vaccinated Children and staff. All the children and staff were vaccinated.
The vaccination team carried out vaccination drive for Children above 18 years in the various Child Care Institutions i.e., Abhyudaya Children Home, Divyang Children Home, Calvary Children Home, Love Children Home, Bethany Children Home, Balika Niketan, Capstone Children Home, Seva Niketan, Darussalam Yatheem Khana, Pranab Kanya Sangha and also for 45+ age group of old age home, Ferrargunj.
With this vaccination drive, Administration has achieved 100 percent vaccination coverage in the CCI of South Andaman.
The District Administration is committed for the welfare of the children living in the Child Care and will be prompt in its endeavours at the best interest of a child.
