Port Blair, Aug 16: A SUV with three people plunged into the sea from Junglighat Jetty yesterday evening at around 8.00 PM. According to reports the accident happened when the driver of the SUV was trying to turn the vehicle, amidst heavy rain. As per sources Mr. Justine Raj, who was sitting on the back seat of the SUV somehow managed to come out from the back door, however, two people sitting on the front seats, did not get chance to come out.
When staffs of the Jetty saw the SUV falling into the sea they reached to the spot and managed to pull out Mr. Justine Raj from waters. Mr. Justine Raj reportedly suffered minor injuries. Later on information Police team reached spot and with the help of PMF divers, bodies of other two people were brought out, who were later identified as Mr. Adesh Kumar and Ajay Minj. Police is further investigating the matter and trying to find out what exactly went wrong, before the accident. The CCTV footage of the Junglighat jetty will be the key, it is learnt. Sources said that all three had gone to meet one friend, who is working in one of the vessels of DSS.
