
Port Blair, Aug 03: The South Andaman District Administration in the fight against COVID-19 pandemic has taken various actions to strengthen the healthcare facilities in order to provide better care to the patients.
With the resolute efforts of the Chief Secretary, A&N Administration, Shri Jitendra Narain, 250 oxygen concentrators of 10 litres have been received from the M/s Reliance Jio for the benefit of people of these islands as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), which will further help augment and improve the healthcare facilities in the islands. These concentrators were received by Shri Suneel Anchipaka, Deputy Commissioner (SA), SDM(SA) and AC (U/T) on behalf of the Administration. The same will be handed over to the medical authorities for proper utilisation in the treatment of COVID patients requiring oxygen support.
The DC(SA)thanked M/s Reliance Jio for their contribution in augmenting the health infrastructure of the Islands. Further DC(SA) has sought the cooperation of public in fighting the pandemic and reiterated that the Administration is committed to provide the best of services.
