Port Blair, June 13: A joint team of Manargahat and Tushnabad Forest Office caught a crocodile from a vacant land of Malappuram area of Manarghat, South Andaman.
According to details, yesterday local people of the area sighted the crocodile on the said land and informed about the crocodile to Forest Department. Although a forest team reached the area yesterday but they could not find the crocodile.
Later staffs were deputed in the area to keep a watch on the movement of crocodile. Today at around 8.00 PM, the crocodile was sighted again.
Immediately joint team of Manargahat and Tushnabad Forest Office consisting of Mr. C Sameer, Forest Guard, Mr. Abdul Gafoor, Forester, Mr. Jagdish Kerketa, the Deputy Ranger, Mr. Mohammed Sabir, Forester, and labourers reached the spot and caught the Crocodile by fishing net. As per source, the crocodile will safely be released in natural habitat soon.
