Port Blair, June 01: The former pradhan of Sundergarh Panchayat, Mr. Biju Gurudasan has demanded thorough inquiry in the recent Fire Accident case of Baratang, in which a prominent shop of the region ‘Pooja Enterprises’ was completely gutted.
In the wee hours of 26 May 2021 a massive fire was reported from the said shop, which reduced the entire shop into ashes. The gutted shop was owned by former Zilla Parishad Member of Baratant, Mr. R Alager Swami, who suffered heavy financial loss.
Now, after the fire accident, the owner of the shop, the grassroot leaders and many other general public are smelling rat. After working hard, the public of the region gathered several evidences against one particular person, a former employee of the shop, who was reportedly seen moving out of his house at late night hours on 25 May 2021, under suspicious circumstances.
Based on these circumstantial evidences, the former Pradhan of Sundergarh, Mr. Biju Gurudasan has now demanded thorough investigation in this case.
“When the Dy.S.P came to Baratang, I spoke to him regarding this issue. In this case there is an eyewitness and other evidences which can’t be overlooked. If proper investigation is not carried out tomorrow it might happen to anyone else. Therefore I demand a thorough inquiry in this case,” Mr. Biju Gurudasan added.
