  1. Very sad news. There is still a confusion about the species and there is no hint in your news as to the cause of the death in such a large number.

  2. This is a huge loss of marine ecosystem in the history having died more than 40 nos of pilot whales together. This is a matter of concern and one should really has to investigate the reason behind this huge loss for future point of view of marine ecosystem.

  3. The stranding of cetacean en masse is prognostic of an undersea earthquake of huge impact. I have often espoused that whale / dolphin deaths in large numbers presages cataclysmic natural disasters such as earthquake, tsunami or volcano. I wouldn’t at all, if within three weeks or thereabouts, some part of Southeast Asia is rocked by a massive jolt or a possible undersea tectonic plate shift that will trigger a titanic tsunami anywhere along the rim of the Arabian Sea. I have posted numerous notes on the connection / link between cetacean stranding and earthquakes a number of times on nathistory – india and other sites. Each and every take of mine has turned out to be uncannily correct, including the Sumatran tsunami that left 250,000 dead in Asia less than a decade ago, the New Zealand quakes and the Indonesian volcano

  5. Dr Arunachalam Kumars claim has a periodical history behind his information on the subject and this should be taken well into into consideration and investigated further in collision with the concerned Central Ministries of Environment and Fisheries and further researched with experts on the scientific reasons on the death of these False Killer Whales .

Usually such mass deaths happens when their ecosystem is being disturbed by natural phenomena or by any foreign man made disturbance .To avoid such disasters in marine life and to preserve the ecosystem we need to have right information and the remedial measures for its non occurrence . If not paid heed now to the situation at the right time , we may loose a fragile marine ecosystem which is being exploited by every one .
This article brings to light the plight of the less privileged marine life which we human being often give less importance in our lives who often forgets the fact that they are a very important factor in our ecosystem of life’s existence to complete the human chain .

The journalist covering this article has to be well commended for his sincere work and coverage . Indeed a great piece of article and informative too .Suggest to follow up on the technical and scientific reason with the concerned and the action taken measures to be published to avoid such loss of precious marine life in future .
