Port Blair, Apr 01: The State President of National Students Union of India (NSUI), A&N Islands Mr.M.A.Sajid and all the members of NSUI heartily thank Mr. Kuldeep Rai Sharma, the Member of Parliament, A&N Islands for performing his responsibilities best while remaining in home quarantine.
Due to home quarantine for 14 days Mr. Kuldeep Rai Sharma was unable to keep personal touch with the public but he ensured in helping public and spreading awareness among the public 24×7 to tackle novel corona virus through his mobile number.
He attended all the calls of the public and helped the people in getting necessary food items and groceries during lockdown. NSUI also thank Mr. Sharma for sanctioning an amount of 1 crore rupees through MPLAD fund for purchase of essential items like Infrared Thermometres, Thermal Imaging Scanner, setting up of isolation/quarantine ward, purchase of gloves, sanitizers and masks. An amount of 16 lakhs was also sanctioned by Mr. MP for purchase of 2 Ventilators and personal protection equipments considering the urgent requirement of these items to combat COVID- 19 in our islands. Even when NSUI team contacted Mr. Sharma and informed about a person who was having severe fever, he immediately directed the medical authorities for necessary check ups to be done for that persons. NSUI thank Mr. Sharma for all his efforts and ope that he will always be available for the general public and together we will combat Corona Virus.
