Port Blair, March 05: Indira Gandhi National Open University Regional Centre, Port Blair celebrating the International Women’s day at its office on 6th March, 2020 at 4 pm. The 16 feet long ‘Pink Counter’ opened in the second floor of Regional Centre office with three women staff members of Regional Centre. The counter is opened especially for giving first priority to female students as “Ladies First”. On this occasion Mrs. Nidhi Sekhawat, Assistant Professor, Department of Home Science, JNRM College, Port Blair and Mrs. Moutoshi Naskar, Assistant Director, India Tourism, Junglighat, Port Blair will deliver the Women’s day address. The Regional Centre has invited female students of IGNOU, NGOs of the region, students of Diploma in Women Empowerment Development, Bachelor and Master of Social Work, Master of Gender Development Studies. Special Mementoes will be given to female staff of Regional Centre as part of International Women’s Day.
