Port Blair, Oct.15: Kala Kendra, a Society under the Department of Art & Culture had organized a ‘Short Movie Making Competition’ on the theme ‘Nature’, Cultural & Architectural Heritage, personalities, Gandhian Values etc. Six entries were received from the budding/aspiring film makers. Selection of Short Movie was judged by a panel of Jury Members, comprising of officials and Padmashree Awardee Shri Naresh Chander Lall. The movies were adjudged on the basis of good story/script, quality and presentation. The Short Movie Presented by Ms. Samhita Veda Acharya on Pynma – “The State Flower of Andaman & Nicobar Islands” was adjudged as the best Short Movie of the competition.
