Port Blair, March 06: On 4th March 2019, a senior citizen fell into the sea from Chatham Jetty but because of swift action of Police Jawans of PS Chatham, he was rescued immediately.
According to sources, Mr. M Sannyasi, a resident of Namunaghar, aged around 65 years, fell into sea from Chatham jetty on 4th March at around 10:30 AM.
As soon as the information was received, a team headed by Sub Inspector Manoj Lal, including Police Constable Kabir, Driver Sameer rushed to the spot and rescued the victim.
The victim Mr. Sanyasi sustained injuries on his head. He was rescued and rushed to GB Pant hospital for further treatment.
According to the medical history Mr Sanyasi has high blood pressure and heart ailments, which might be the reason why he suddenly collapsed and fell into the sea.
