Port Blair, Feb 03: In the inauguration function of Subash Mela, Bakultala which was held on 1st February, 2019 Outstanding Youth Club Award for the year 2018-19 was given to the Biswas Organisation for Social Service, Kadamtala by Mr. Awanish Kumar, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, North and Middle Andaman in presence of Mr. Anil Bepari, Up Adhyaksh, N&M Andaman, Mr. Om Dhole, DANICS, Assistant Commissioner, Middle Andaman, Rangat, Mr. P K Paul, IFS, Divisional Forest Officer, Middle Andaman, Rangat and R K Sharma, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Middle Andaman, Rangat . The Award carries a sum of Rs.25000/- and a certificate. The youth club worked voluntarily in fields such as social service, environment enrichment, women empowerment, health and family welfare. Besides these the youth club has also taken up social campaigns, awareness drive of local and national importance.
On the other hand winner and runner trophy and prizes for volleyball league cum knockout tournament conducted from 23/01/2019 were also distributed by the dignitaries, said by District Youth Coordinator, NYK, Rangat in a press release.
