Diglipur, June 17: The rising water level of Kalpong river because of heavy rain, gave nightmares to people living in villages along the river in Diglipur Island, today. However by 8.00 PM the water level started receding.
“Water level was little high in Kalpong river because of heavy rain but now situation is normal. Rain water inundated several houses in seven villages. Directions has been given to set up relief camps, if required, in three villages RK Gram, Subhash Gram and DB Gram,” Dr. Vivek Kumar, Assistant Commissioner of Diglipur told Andaman Sheekha today.
