Port Blair, July 29: Mahatma Gandhi International school held an investiture ceremony on Friday in the school premises following the prefectural elections held in July 1st week. The chief guest of the event, Smt Ranjana Gulechha, Secretary of the School, highlighted the duties and responsibilities towards the school as well as focusing on student’s leadership qualities. Mr. Ronald emphasized on the importance of the ceremony preceding events include motivational songs by the schools choir group awarding insignias to school appointees by the chief guest such as elected Head Boy master Animesh Sutar and Head Girl Ms. Sutapa Roy and oath taking by the prefects.
Accordingly, the leader of prefectural board and the students council repeated the pledge read by Smt Rashmi Janak to uphold the values of the school and keeping the scared school flag flying high while discharging their duties honestly and impartially. Oath taking was followed by the pinning of Badge. Ms Lalitha proposed the vote of thanks.
