Port Blair, Dec 21: Colourful cultural programmes marked the annual day celebrations of MGIS on Sunday. The 11th Annual Day function was organised on the theme “Magical Night 2015 -2016 in the auditorium of DBRAIT. Smt Tanvi Garg, Secretary of Education, in her address as the chief guest, motivated students to diligently pursue studies for better careers. The special guest, Dr. Satish, Director of MGIS, spoke about CCE pattern and encouraged the parents as well as the students regarding personality development. Mr Nalin Gulechha, Trustee of MGIS and Smt Ranjana Gulechha, Secretary of MGIS were also present in the fucntion.
The Principal, Ms. Bharathi presented the Annual Report and awarded the meritorious students for their excellent performance in both academics and co-curricular activities. “We at MGIS feel school education should be a complete experience for the students where they thrive for excellence,” she said.
The students also show cased their martial art skill through Karate and Wushu Martial Art. Other programmes presented on the occasion included Pushpanjali Classical Dance , Puppet Dance’, ‘Joker Dance’, ‘Salsa’, Mime, Alvida, Almost all the performances drew much applause from the audience. Students Karthick, Shreya, Zoya, Abhijeet, and Utkarsh were among the anchors of the event.
