Port Blair, Apr 30: The Goods and Service Tax (GST) is going to be introduced all over the Country shortly and this will replace VAT, CST and all other taxes including Octroi .At the request of Andaman Chamber of Commerce & Industry the A & N Administration has organized a full day Seminar on Tuesday the 15th May,2012 at the Conference Hall of Megapode Next where the morning session from 10:00 am to 01:00 am includes an explanation regarding GST and how it will impact the tax structure.
The afternoon session from 03:00 pm to 05:00 pm will be open for answering any queries in the matter. All the members of the Andaman Chamber of Commerce & Industry are requested to make full use of the opportunity and attend the Seminar by themselves or depute 1 or 2 persons from his organisation who are well versed and working with the Tax Department. They are also requested to register with the Office of the Chamber before 10th May for making further necessary arrangement.
