Rangat, Feb 02: 59th Annual Athletic meet was conducted by Govt. Senior Secondary School, Ranagt in Mini stadium at Rangat, Middle Andaman on 30.01.2014. This athletic meet was inaugurated by the chief guest Mr. A. K. Trivedi, Asst. Commissioner of Middle Andaman. He took salute of March past. In this athletic meet 100 m relay, long jump, High jump, Discus throw and Javelin throw were conducted.
This meet were conducted in different groups viz. Junior, Middle and Senior groups. Motivating Children the Asst. Commissioner explained the importance of the sports in daily life. For the closing ceremony, Mr. Sushen Mallik, DEO, Rangat, Middle Andaman was the chief guest, who gave his valuable suggestions to the children.
