Mayabunder, Nov 29: It is reported that GMSS School Myabunder organized a one day “Zonal Level Science, Craft & Arts Exhibition (Gyanodaya)” on 29th November 2014.
Mr. G.L.Meena, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, N & M Andaman inaugurated the exhibition in presence of Shri R.N. Rath, Principal, MGGC Mayabunder, Shri Mamen Thomas, DEO, Mayabunder and PRI members.
The DC appreciated the efforts made by the students for their exhibits of Science, Crafts & arts. He also encouraged organizing such events in future to develop the skill of school children. The parents and public from various corners witnessed the exhibition and appreciated.
The students have exhibited various items on science, arts & handicrafts products which is commendable work but however the school administration have failed to maintain good sanitary and hygienic conditions in and around the school premises even after our reporter visited there during “Swatchh Bharat Abiyan” on 2nd Oct. 2014 and brought the points specifically to the authority concerned for keeping the entire area clean & tidy as well as in hygienic manner.
Since the school administration has done a good job by organizing such a gala event simultaneously they should also give due consideration to maintain sanitary and hygienic environment of the institution for the well being / moral development of the students which is also part and parcel of the school management.
