Port Blair, Nov 17: An earthquake of moderate intensity rocked the Nicobar Islands at 10.30 AM today. The quake, measuring 4.7 on the Richter scale, had its epicentre at latitude 7.29 degrees N and longitude 94.5 degrees E, a bulletin from the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said today.
There were no immediate reports of any casualty or damage but the quake was felt strongly by people in Campbell Bay area.
