Mayabunder, Sept 10: Village roads, constructed once upon a time, between MG Govt. College, Karmatang to Karmatang X as well as to Karmatang Beach are presently in horrible shape since last few months.
Public are going through hell everyday because of these roads especially after every spell of rain. The riders of two wheelers fear to cross the road, especially during night hours.
A large number of villagers including public, students and teachers are using this road to reach their destinations almost everyday. Apart from the above, local tourists as well as mainland tourists are visiting the Karmatang Beach, which is one of the best tourist place of Middle and North Andaman District, but are getting only nightmare during journey.
Are the concerned authorities waiting for any major accident to repair the road? Authorities must initiate immediate action to repair these roads to avert any serious accidents. Situation is so bad the roads now look like Ponds in rainy days and even bus drivers fear to cross these roads. In case of any major accident, will the Administration shoulder the responsibility?
