Port Blair, Sept 9: The constant rains and devastating landslides in Jammu and Kashmir recently, causing unprecedented floods, has brought life to standstill in the state, claiming over 150 lives, inundating villages and leaving people stranded.
People of A & N Islands have shown solidarity with our fellow citizens in Jammu & Kashmir. Accordingly, all the officers and staff of A&N Administration have voluntarily decided to donate one day salary to the LG’s Relief Fund for providing support to the affected in J&K.
The Chief Secretary, A&N Administration, Shri Anand Prakash has requested people in the private sector too for contributing towards this cause and donate generously to LG’s Relief Fund.
