Mayabunder, Sept. 01:A meeting of all the elected members of N&M Zill Parishad for election to the Office of the Adhyaksh and Up-Adhyaksh for the 5th year term of N&M Andaman ZP commencing from Oct. 11, 2014 will be held at 10 am on Sept. 25.
The oath taking ceremony of Adhyaksh and Up-Adhyaksh will be held on Oct. 10 at 11 am in the Zilla Parishad Community hall, Mayabunder.
As per the provisions contain under sub-section (6) of 150 ‘The seat for the Office of the Adhyaksh for the 1st & 3rd of the N&M Andaman Zilla Parishad shall be reserved for women and for the 5th year in favour of a member, if any, belonging to the Scheduled Tribe’, a communication from the Deputy Commissioner, N&M Andaman said.
