Port Blair, Mar 19: Two candidates filed their nomination papers today (Mar 19) being the fifth day for filing of nominations. Shri Gaur Chandra Majumder of Bahujan Samaj Party filed two sets of nomination papers to the Returning Officer, A & N Islands Parliamentary Constituency, Shri P Jawahar at the Office of the Returning Officer (Deputy Commissioner, South Andaman). The candidature of Shri Gaur Chandra Majumder was proposed by S/ Shri Harris Anselm and Abdul Majeed.
Shri Sanjay Meshack of Aam Aadmi Party filed three sets of nomination papers. The candidature of Shri Sanjay Meshack was proposed by 10 proposers in each. The last date for filing of nomination is March 22, 2014.
