Port Blair, Mar 19: The Department of Art and Culture, A&N Administration in collaboration with South Zone Cultural Centre ,GOI, Thanjavur shall be organizing a week long Workshop on Carnatic Music (vocal) from 20th -27th March 2014 at Andaman Club .Shri B.Umashankar ,a versatile artists who learnt music under the tutelage of Shri V.V.Subramaniyam Iyer and ‘Bombay sisters’ C.Saroja and C.Lalitha shall be the resource person for the workshop. All participants have been advised to report at 3.30 p.m on 20th March 2014 at Andaman Club.
IN addition to this, the Department of Art and Culture shall also be conducting 3 days ‘Painting workshop for children’ and ‘Make-up workshop for theatre artistes’ from 25th to 27th March 2014. These workshops shall be concluded on 27th March 2014 on the occasion of World Theatre Day.
