Port Blair, Mar 19:It is brought to the notice of Contractors and developers/land owners/housing development co-operative societies, who are developing their land by earth filling below the 33/11KV HT Lines, which reduces the HT line ground clearance without consulting the Assistant Engineer/Junior Engineer of that area. This is viewed very seriously and all are advised to refrain from such activities and get prior approval from the Electricity Department before executing the earth filling works under 33/11KV HT lines, failing which, if any accident occurs this department will not be responsible, a press-note issued by the Electricity department here said.
