Wimberly Gunj Sept. 29: In a very strange development, a new-born baby boy was found in abandoned condition at the entrance of Primary Health Centre, Wimberly Gunj on Saturday morning.
The blood stained new-born baby was left by unidentified persons in a Big-Shopper bag with some old cloth pieces. Although the umbilical cord was cut off unscientifically, yet the baby was quite healthy. But had the baby been not noticed for another couple of hours, the staffs say, he would have breathed the last.
Moreover everybody was surprised that luckily no stray dog could notice the baby, whereas as in all hospitals, here also stray dogs wandered frequently.
The matter was immediately informed to the police and the child was taken to GB Pant Hospital by noon. The news spread like wild fire and people flocked the PHC to get a glimpse of the baby. Many people were seen shedding tears at the site of the baby, while some wanted to adopt him.
