Sri Vijaya Puram, Feb. 27:Tourism Department in association with Indian Institute of Tourism and Travel Management (IITTM), Bhubaneswar will be organising 12 days Training Program for Tour Guide Training Programme for Local Youths; and Eco-Tourist Guide Training & Birding for tourism stakeholder’s unemployed youth/candidates in Sri Vijaya Puram from March 9 to 20.

The eligibility is 12th Pass. Seat Matrix: 100 seats (Tour Guide – 50 & Eco-Tourist Guide Training and Birding – 50) and age limit is below 40 years (as on 01/03/2026).

To select the candidates, 50% weightage will be given to merit & 50% weightage to experience in travel trade. No TA/DA or accommodation shall be provided for attending the training. The candidates who have undergone Tourist guide training during 2023-24 & 2024-25 will not be eligible for Tourist Guide Training.
The filled in application form for the tourist guide training is to be submitted to Planning section, Directorate of IP&T on or before 06th March, 2026 by 12 Noon.
