Rangat, Feb 24: Residents of Rangat have expressed serious concern over frequent and unannounced power cuts in the area at a time when CBSE Class 10 and Class 12 Board examinations are currently underway.
Students preparing for the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) examinations are facing significant difficulties due to sudden electricity interruptions, especially during evening and night study hours. Parents have reported that the unexpected outages are causing stress, frustration, and disturbance in revision schedules.
Many students from Rangat and nearby rural areas depend heavily on electricity for online study materials. With examinations being a crucial turning point in their academic careers, the ongoing power cuts have raised serious concerns among the public.
Parents and social organizations have urged the Electricity Department of the Andaman & Nicobar Administration to immediately address the issue and ensure uninterrupted power supply at least during the examination period. They emphasized that a stable power supply is essential for students to prepare confidently and perform well in their board exams.
Public representatives have also requested authorities to either avoid load shedding during peak study hours or provide prior notice so that families can make necessary arrangements.
The residents of Rangat sincerely appeal to the concerned department to resolve the power cut problem immediately in the interest of students and their future.
