Sri Vijaya Puram, Feb 13: In a fervent demonstration of unity, villagers from Billiground and its surrounding areas staged a rally demanding the declaration of the Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Higher Learning Institute as a central university and not as a Deemed university. The rally, held in Billiground, underscored the community’s strong desire to establish a central university for the youth of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands (ANI).
The protesters, including representatives from local Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRIs), expressed their commitment to supporting their children’s educational aspirations. They emphasized the urgent need for an immediate cessation of any efforts opposing the achievement of central university status for the institute and affirmed their resolute mission.
“Our children deserve better educational opportunities, and we will continue to protest until our voices are heard and their futures are secured,” stated a local leader during the rally. The villagers pledged to hold ongoing demonstrations until their goals are attained, asserting that their efforts will persist until success is realized.
