Port Blair, May 19: Soon children of Andaman and Nicobar Islands and tourists visiting from Mainland India and abroad can see Dinosaurs in Port Blair city. The Science Centre is presently setting up a Dinosaur Park inside its premises, which will be named as “Jurassic Park”, after the famous movie of Stephen Spielberg.
The park won’t have mere Dinosaur statues, according to Mr. N Mohan the Director of Science Centre, the Dinosaurs of the Jurassic Park will show movements and make sounds to give a park a real look.
Presently the Science Centre is building the rock gate, using fiber and steel, which will be the entry point of the Jurassic Park.
Talking to Andaman Sheekha, Mr. N Mohan said that there will be daily light and sound shows of 30 minutes duration inside the Jurassic Park in both English and Hindi Languages.
“We haven’t received funds from the Administration yet for this project. As soon as funds are received within six months this park will be ready,” Mr. Mohan added.
He said that for this project, experts and technicians will be coming from Kolkata. It is believed that once set up the park will become one of the major attractions of Port Blair city.
