Sri Vijaya Puram, Jan 16: The Jawahar Bal Manch, under the leadership of its Chairman, Mrs. S. Sita Laxmi, organised a vibrant celebration of Makar Sankranti and Pongal at Ward No.14, featuring cultural programmes and a drawing competition for children. The event aimed at promoting cultural values, unity, and creativity among young minds.
The programme was graced by the active presence of ANTCC President Mr. Rangalal Halder, along with City Congress President Mr. Mohd. Zubair, Youth Congress Vice-President Mr. M. A. Sajid, and Block Congress President (South Block) Mr. P. B. Murugan, who encouraged the children and appreciated the efforts of Jawahar Bal Manch in nurturing cultural awareness.
Children enthusiastically participated in the cultural programmes and drawing competition, showcased their talents and creativity with great zeal. Prizes were distributed to the winners to encourage and motivate the young participants.
