Sri Vijaya Puram, Jan. 9: A one-day Block Level Training Programme under the Rashtriya Gram Swaraj Abhiyan (RGSA) on “Fostering Synergies between Rural Youth and Panchayati Raj Institutions for Sustainable Community Development” was held yesterday at the Panchayat Conference Hall, Gram Panchayat Subashgram, Diglipur.
The training programme witnessed active participation of Pradhans, Up-Pradhans and local rural youth, aiming to build a strong collaborative framework between elected representatives and youth for grassroots development. The sessions focused on sustainable community development, model village concepts, youth-led group activities, and participatory planning at the Panchayat level.
Domain experts and resource persons highlighted the importance of coordinated efforts between PRIs and rural youth in identifying local needs and implementing development initiatives effectively. The programme also covered an overview of government schemes for local youth, encouraging them to take leadership roles in community development. An interactive discussion and feedback session marked the conclusion of the training, allowing participants to share ideas and experiences.
