Sri Vijaya Puram, Oct 09: A 10-day Tailoring and Embroidery Training Programme commenced today at Diglipur, organized by DAY-NRLM, CD Block Diglipur in collaboration with the Industry Department, Diglipur.
The training, scheduled from 09 to 21 October 2025, aims to equip members of Self-Help Groups (SHGs) with the latest techniques and practical skills in tailoring and embroidery. This initiative is designed to enhance the livelihood opportunities of rural women, enabling them to achieve self-reliance and economic independence through self-employment and skill-based income generation. 30 women participants from various SHGs under Diglipur will be provided the training.
While inaugurating the programme, Mr. M. Rajendra Kumar, Block Development Officer, Diglipur, highlighted that such capacity-building efforts play a vital role in empowering rural women and strengthening the economic fabric of the community. Ms. Afreen Neesa (IPO, Diglipur), gave the detailed roadmap of the 10 days training program. Further, the BDO Diglipur and IPO Diglipur disturbed the training kits to all the 30 participants.
The event was attended by Mr. Bibhash Mazumdar (Extension Officer), Ms. Aushiya Rehman (Instructress), Ms. Sanjana Kumari (Cluster Coordinator), and Mr. Debasish Podar (Cluster Coordinator).
