Diglipur, Oct. 08:A tragic incident occurred at the Community Health Centre (CHC), Diglipur, last night when a patient allegedly committed suicide in the hospital premises.
As per report, the person named Dilip Sutradhar reportedly had a health complaint of pain in his waist, and as the pain aggravated, he went to CHC, Diglipur and got admitted two days ago. However, he allegedly committed suicide in the bathroom of CHC, Diglipur last night. The body was reportedly found hanging from a water pipe in the bathroom. He reportedly used his towel to execute the sucide.
However, the tragedy, which occurred last night, sparked outrage among residents of Laxmipur; while the Pradhan, GP, Laxmipur Mr. Sujan Das alleged that owing to the negligence of the staff on duty Dilip Sutradhar lost his life. The Pradhan also said that the present condition of CHC, Diglipur is not at all good and for which he allegedly held the Lieutenant Governor of these islands responsible. The Pradhan further said that he had sent a number of letters on the pathetic condition of the CHC, Diglipur, but his pleas were reportedly unheard and yielded no fruitful result; the CHC, Diglipur is plagued with a number deficiencies, he claimed.
A case has been registered and an inquiry is unway.
