Port Blair, Aug 06: Customers in South Andaman are facing immense inconvenience due to the non-functioning ofseveral State Bank of India (SBI) ATMs. A persistent issue of ATMs running out of cash or being out of order has become a regular ordeal for people.
Adding to the woes, the ATMs are often found in a state of neglect, with poor hygiene conditions. Despite the concentration of multiple ATMs at the SBI main branch in ATM corner, the situation remains unchanged, with several machines frequently dysfunctional. The ATM placed near JNMR, Chakkargaon Shopping Complex often remain out of order or out of cash.
With a significant portion of the population in Andaman and Nicobar islands relying on SBI for banking services, the bank’s inability to ensure the smooth functioning of its ATMs has caused widespread frustration. Customers are demanding immediate action to rectify the situation and provide uninterrupted banking services.
