Port Blair, Apr 11: In continuation of the zero-tolerance policy against any kind of crime, PS Pahargaon staff have cracked the theft case within 24 hours and recovered 04 mobile phones.
An FIR was registered on 08th April 2022 at PS Pahargaon and the investigation was entrusted to ASI Peter Indwar of PS Pahargaon. The case was initially a blind case of theft of 01 mobile phones from an under-construction building at Shiv Colony, Dollygunj.
A special team of PS Pahargaon led by HC A Raja, PC Manikandan, PC Jagdish Babu, PC Amit Kumar, PC Santosh Kumar Yadav and PC Ashok Kumar under the supervision of Insp Girish Kumar, SHO PS Pahargaon was constituted to crack the case.
The team collected technical evidence in the form of CCTV footage and identified the accused Pritam Das S/o Sh. Rajesh Das (22)yrs, Pvt Worker R/o Bathubasti near ANIIDCO wine shop.
During interrogation, the accused confessed that he had stolen a total of 04 mobiles phones and after the theft, he had handed over the mobile phones to another accused namely Sanu Das S/o Sh. Ranjeet Das (28)yrs Work at Anbu Bar, Dollygunj R/o Dollygunj for unlocking and further selling of the stolen mobiles to customers. The team cracked the theft case within 24 hours and recovered 04 mobile phones.
