Port Blair, Mar 02: The Coast Guard Component of Andaman and Nicobar Command conducted a Blood Donation camp under the aegis of Coast Guard Wives Welfare Association (CGWWA), Port Blair.
The blood donation camp was organized on 28 February 2022 by CG Dist HQ, in coordination with GB Pant hospital. The objective of the camp was to motivate people to donate blood voluntarily with the aim of saving the precious lives of needy patients.
The camp was inaugurated by IG Dinesh Rajaputhran, TM, Commander Coast Guard Region (Andaman and Nicobar) and 62 volunteers donated blood during the camp.
During the blood donation camp, all protocols set by the Government for the COVID-19 pandemic were followed. On arrival of donors, registration was done and thereafter the volunteers went through medical screening, followed by the donation of blood.
