Port Blair, Feb 14: Mr. Suneel Anchipaka, IAS, Director (Panchayat and Municipal Elections) held a meeting with the Political Parties to discuss the issues related with the polling stations, list of which was published in public domain.
Various representatives of Political Parties had attended the meeting and claims and objections regarding change of location of few polling stations were deliberated.
Taking into the consideration of public convenience for the proposed changes the Director, Panchayat and Municipal Elections informed that the issue of rationalization of Polling Station and thee changes proposed would be sent to the Election Commission (UTs) and after approval, the same shall be published for information.
